nurturing young lives

Teens and Children

Osteopathy is a hands-on therapy that focus on supporting the body’s structure and function. These practices are particularly beneficial for children and teenagers as they grow, offering support to address physical, emotional and developmental challenges. These therapies help young people thrive, ensuring they enjoy healthy, active lives as they move through childhood and adolescence.

We highly recommend three to six monthly check ups for all teens and children to support growth and development. These assessments can be vital to diagnosing any underlying abnormal growth patterns or structural asymmetries. As passionate paediatric osteopaths we are then more able to detectect early changes in your child’s body and then manage accordingly and or refer where appropriate.

Osteopathy for Children and Teenagers

Osteopathy is a form of hands on manual therapy that assesses and treats the musculoskeletal system and its relationship to organ function, circulation, and the nervous system. We aim to restore balance and promote overall health through the entire body. The osteopaths at the Integrated osteopahic centre use a variety of techniques form direct to indirect methods to suit the individual. For young people, osteopathy can help manage the effects of growth spurts, sporting injuries, postural changes and everyday aches and pains. By gently working with muscles, joints and tissues, osteopaths help relieve discomfort and improve mobility, allowing kids and teens to move freely and comfortably.

Cranial osteopathy is especially suited to children and teenagers. It can support issues such as headaches, sleep disturbances, stress, difficulties with concentration and even digestive discomfort.
