What is Buteyko Breathing?
The Buteyko Breathing Method is a therapeutic technique developed by Dr Konstantin Buteyko in the 1950s. It focuses on retraining the breath to be slower, gentler, and through the nose. The method emphasises reducing over-breathing (hyperventilation) and encourages a more controlled breathing pattern, which helps restore a natural balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the body.

Buteyko Breathing and Osteopathy
When combining Osteopathy with the Buteyko Breathing Method, patients can experience enhanced results.
The Buteyko Breathing Method offers a practical, non-invasive way to improve breathing efficiency and overall health. When integrated with osteopathic care, it supports a whole-body approach to wellness, addressing both the mechanics and the function of the respiratory system, and enhancing the body’s natural ability to heal and maintain balance.
